In cooperation with the celebration of the country’s 109 years of freedom, LLCI joined the Independence Day Parade at Isabel town last June 12, 2007 with the theme: “Sama-sama tayo tungo sa pag-asenso”.
The following schools joined the parade; Doane Baptist School, Matlang National High School, Holy Child Parish School, Isabel National Comprehensive School, Isabel National High School and our very own LIDE Learning Center, Inc. Representatives from PASAR, Philphos, OCCCI, LIDE Ladies Club and LMC also came to join the parade.
The parade started at seven-thirty in the morning. After it, a program took place at the Isabel Freedom Center. The program started with an invocation then followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the “Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas”. An opening remark was given by the Hon. Mayor Roberto Fuentes. Teachers from LSU presented a dance number as a conclusion of the program.
This year, students in LLCI from Grade 5 to Fourth year high school were expected to join the parade because LLCI is now celebrating its 25th year anniversary unlike in the previous years, only the Fourth year students joined the parade.
